Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956, at Woodland Hills, California, the only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her parents were a mother who was household worker and father who worked as a teacher. Michael, Dennis, Kevin and her sister are older. McCormick was a talented artist and dancer since a young age. She would perform puppet shows to the kids in the neighborhood she lived in. After winning the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was just six, Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency reached out to her and asked her if she would like to break involved in the world of showbusiness. McCormick was given her first major breakthrough in 1964. She was in the television advertisement of Mattel's "Baby Pattaburp" doll" the company's newest doll. That same year, she starred in another advertisement for the doll of Mattel "Chatty Caty" shortly after which she was snatched in the La Jolla Playhouse as her role as the oldest daughter on the upcoming TV sitcom called The Brady Bunch. McCormick was the eldest of three girls who had two heads on the TV show The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson was the star while Robert Reed was the father. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick stated in her book of 2008"Here's The Story: Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having losing her virginity in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. In the moment, she was just 16 years old, and he was 19. "It was possible," she said, "but the timing was never suitable to us."
